1. What are the hours of operation?
Grand opening is Friday the 5th of October.
We will be open October 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th, 31st and November 1st from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
2. What time does the line start forming?
Early in the season, arriving around 7pm is fine, but as we get closer to
Halloween the crowds get larger.
3. How long is the wait in line?
In general, we try to keep the wait time to under 30 minutes. However, on
the last 2 weekends in October and on Halloween the lines will be much
longer. Try to come earlier in October if you would like to avoid the longer
lines!
4. How long does it take to go through the haunted house?
That depends on many factors. First you must buy your tickets and then wait
to enter the haunted houses. Once you enter, you go through at your own
pace so the length of the experience varies from group to group. The houses
2000 sq ft each so it may take 15 to20 mins per house, plus time in lines. The lines get longer the closer it gets to Halloween. You may encounter wandering
creatures the moment you leave your car, so be on your guard!
5. If I get there at 10:45 pm and I bought a ticket, will the Night of Screams haunted house close before I get a chance to go through?
We keep the haunted houses running until the last patron has exited. We'll
stop selling tickets, but the shows will keep running.
6. Can I make a reservation?
No. Night of Screams is first come, first served
7. What is the price for the haunted house?
$10.00 per attraction or you can buy a Combo ticket for all 3 attractions for $20.00 and save $10.00.
8. Does Night of Screams offer group rates?
Yes, if you buy 15 or more Combo tickets from the box office we will sell you the tickets for $18.00 (You save $2.00 per ticket).
9. Does Night of Screams accept credit cards?
No, we take cash only
10. Can I buy tickets in advance?
Yes, ask if your local high school has signed up to be a ticket distributor.
They will have tickets you can buy in advance.
11. I bought my ticket from one of your fundraiser groups…do I still have to wait in line when I get to the Haunted House?
You are able to skip the often lengthy box office line. Once you have your
tickets, you queue for the attractions.
12. Is there a way to avoid waiting in line?
On select nights, we will have a limited number of Speedpass tickets
available. For $25 per person you will receive a special Combo ticket
Speedpass which will allow you to enter a Speedpass line at the
haunted house.
13. Are the monsters allowed to touch you?
The actors in Night of Screams Haunted House will not touch you. However,
they do get very close. Occasionally you may brush up against their costumes
or props. You may also come into contact with some of the sets.
14. Are there any age restrictions?
Night of Screams Haunted House is recommended for adults and teens, but
younger kids may come if parents choose to bring them. Carrying babies
though is NOT recommended. There are no special prices for children and
no refunds if anyone decides not to finish the haunt. There are many
emergency exits throughout each attraction in case anyone gets too scared to
continue.
15. Is Night of Screams Haunted House wheelchair accessible?
Yes, but in the dark areas of the Haunt, staff assistance will make navigation
easier.
16. Is there a lot of smoke in the haunted house?
We do use fog machines at Night of Screams. Should you find the smoke too
intense there are emergency exits throughout the attraction.
17. Are there strobe lights?
Yes, we do use strobe lights occasionally.
18. Can I go in if I'm pregnant?
Night of Screams Haunted House is not recommended for visitors who are
pregnant, have heart conditions or are in general poor health.
19. Is Night of Screams a ride?
Visitors walk through the attractions at Night of Screams Haunted House.
20. Is it dark?
There are very dark areas in this haunted house.
21. Is it a maze? Can I get lost?
Night of Screams is not a maze. Many areas of the attraction are confusing,
but the staff will help you find your way out if necessary.
22. Are your attractions open if it rains?
Yes! Our haunted house is inside and we have indoor ticket lines as well as
indoor waiting lines.
23. Once we've used our ticket can we go through again with the
same ticket?
No. A new ticket is required for each visit.
24. Do you have hotels in your area?
There are several hotels nearby. We are located on Atlanta Hwy / Hwy 78
the main road through Athens, GA. uses our directions / locator map on this
website to find something close by.
25. Do your attractions have security?
Yes. Night of Screams Haunted House uses Athens Georgia Police Officers
for our security. We seldom, if ever, have a problem that actually requires
security but we have it just in case.We also have an off-duty firefighter/EMT
on staff most nights.
26. Can we be thrown out of the Haunted House for any reason?
Yes. We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of
any kind, alcohol, etc. We have a list of rules just like anyone else that must
be adhered to for your own safety. Violation of these rules will usually bring
a warning and then being asked to leave without a refund.
27. Can we be injured at your park?
Running is the main cause of minor injuries. Make sure to follow the rules
and DON'T run and you should be fine!
28. Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
NO! And they are not allowed on the property, so please do not bring any.
29. Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is allowed only in the parking lot. Smoking is NOT allowed
indoors.
30. Can we take flash photos of your haunted houses?
NO, photography of any kind is not allowed in the haunts. Haunted houses
are dark and peoples eyes (especially the actors) adjust to the low light.
When you flash your camera you're not only ruining other customers'
experience but you're hurting the actors' eyes. Also, the fog used inside the
attractions ruins flash photography. Although no photography or videotaping
is allowed inside (including nightshot), the monsters working outside will
quite often pose for pictures.
31. What can't we bring with us inside your haunted houses?
No pets! No weapons! No alcoholic beverages! No cameras! No smoking! No
laser pointers or flashlights! No food or beverages!
32. Are the attractions the same every year?
Due to popular demand, we have brought back Hazard Mansion and Vortex of Terror for 2008,
as well as added a brand new attraction: Dungeon of Darkness!
33. Is this the haunted house where there are 13 floors and when
you get to the top you get your money back?
No, there is no such haunted house.
34. Can we win free tickets?
Occasionally, radio stations or sponsors may have free ticket giveaways.
